Subsection A.)
Start with the EU Business Registers for Member States page for Luxembourg. The page gives a detailed explanation of Luxembourg’s national register.
For guidance on how to search companies in Luxembourg, scroll down to section “How can I search…”
Subsection B.)
The Luxembourg Trade and Companies Register (Registre de commerce et des sociétés – RCS) is a public register and can be freely accessed. It contains information about traders and companies which, by law, must be disclosed and published. This information is published on the RESA publication platform (https://www.lbr.lu/mjrcs-resa/) which has replaced the former Mémorial C system. The RCS is managed by the Luxembourg Business Registers (LBR) – (
https://www.lbr.lu/
)
The information that is published serves to identify the trader or company, and includes particulars such as a company’s articles of association, its rules of procedure, the liability of its directors and officers, and the company accounts.
The information that the trader/company will be required to disclose for publication depends on the legal form of the business, its size and its sector of activity.
All companies that are newly incorporated in Luxembourg must be registered with the RCS, and their articles of association must be filed with the latter in full or in extract form depending of the legal form of the business.
Subsection C.)
Walk-through for European Business Registry Association :
You can search RCS Luxembourg register under “offered services” then “search for an rcs file”
or search the European Business Registry Association
(Strangely, they seem to both bring you to the same page that lets you search either one)
2 – after choosing to search for RCS, choose anonymous user
3 – then prove you’re human
4 – agree to conditions
5 – First look at European Business Register from menu on left. The wording is a bit confusing for English-speakers but basically you choose the country to search and then you have the option to search the company name or a person’s name. With the country set to Austria, I searched the word “corporate” and received a list of companies.
Using the first hit as an example, we obtain the following information
Name: AIBC Anglo Irish Corporation Bank
Registration number: 117256 k (REID:AT.117256-72)
Registry: Commercial Court Vienna
Legal form (this refers to whether the company is joint stock, limit liability, etc.): Public Limited Company
Registered office: WienIf you click on the result, you can choose to purchase records related to the company that are not available to view for free.
RCS
You can search by RCS number or you can search for the name of a company, person, nonprofit …
By searching for the word “incorporate” I got the following:
Clicking on the company gives extensive information including the basics (type of company, NACE code for type of business conducted, as well as the registration number, date, and location). The results also include a list of company filings and publications, almost all of the records are available for free in PDF format.
14 – clicking company name dies not bring up much, mostly just gives option to pay for more info

https://www.infogreffe.fr/
) is the dissemination platform for all business and companies registers (of mainland France, including Alsace-Moselle, and of the overseas departments and regions). The Infogreffe.nc website provides access to the legal information of undertakings in New Caledonia. The Infogreffe website also enables various formalities (registration, amendment, removal and filing of annual accounts) to be carried out online. The service is provided in French and English.
The INPI website (https://www.inpi.fr/licence-registre-national-du-commerce-et-des-societes-rncs) makes it possible to access, via the DATA INPI portal and as open data, the records of registrations, amendments and removals and companies’ annual accounts.
The BODACC (https://www.bodacc.fr/pages/home/)is the official bulletin for publication of the documents recorded in the business and companies register, from the establishment of an undertaking to its removal, in particular as regards sales and transfers, collective insolvency proceedings and the filing of accounts. The documents in question are sent to the BODACC without the interested parties having to take any action or initiative. Announcements in the BODACC are made under the responsibility of the registrar who receives the information.
Publication in the BODACC, which ensures the widest possible dissemination of registrations in the business and companies registers, falls within the remit of the Office of Legal and Administrative Information (
https://www.dila.premier-ministre.gouv.fr/
) (Direction de l’information légale et administrative – Dila).
