Searching Names and Selectors in Apps

Several apps and their web-based versions allow you to search for people by their username, phone, email, username.

The types of information you can obtain about a person varies depending on the app. You will also need to sign up for a free account with most of these apps.

Some of these useful apps include Paypal, Cash.App, Venmo, Zelle, and Skype.

Here is a screenshot of the Paypal website. Here you choose to Send and Recived and then click Send. Next you need to choose who to send money to, and there is a search function under “Send money” where you input the person’s name, username, email, or mobile.

As you type in a name, a dropdown menu appears with several guesses based on what you’ve typed.
